Description
The Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Chapman University invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track, Instructional Assistant or Associate Professor of Creative and Cultural Industries, with an expertise in fashion industries beginning August 2025.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in fashion industries and related fields.
- Develop and deliver engaging and innovative course content that reflects current trends in the field.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career
- Participate in program service activities including student advising, committee work, and curriculum development.
Qualifications
Required
- Background in fashion industries and one or more of the following areas: fashion histories, fashion and media, fashion and marketing and/or fashion and culture.
- PhD in appropriate field or equivalent terminal
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
Preferred
- Expertise in a related field of fashion and/or creative
- Familiarity with social and cultural
- Excellent communication and interpersonal
For the appointment at Associate Professor level, a candidate will have relevant teaching experience (5 years full time or part-time equivalent); some evidence or research publications would be an advantage.
