The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) is located on Epekwitk, part of the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaw nation. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship, which recognize Mi'kmaw title and establish the ongoing relationship between the Mi'kmaw nation and the Crown. We are all treaty people.
UPEI welcomes applications for a tenure-track position in management (organizational behavior, OB; human resource management, HRM). The appointment is expected at the Assistant Professor level beginning July 1, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. This position is subject to budgetary approval.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a member of the McDougall faculty team and be expected to balance scholarly productivity with service contributions and teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in a relevant field or be close to completion. A record of excellence in research and teaching appropriate to career stage, or a demonstration of clear promise is required. Our current management (OB, HRM) faculty members have published in outlets such as the Academy of Management Learning & Education, Applied Psychology: An International Review, British Journal of Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personality and Individual Differences, and Personnel Psychology.
The McDougall Faculty of Business has emphasized evidence-based management in teaching and scholarship, and offers an MBA in Global Leadership. Candidates who can contribute to those themes are encouraged to apply.
